We have campers .. and other weekend highlights

This weekend, Matt and David went on their first (of hopefully many) Cub Scout camping trip!! David had a blast and Matt survived.. .so I call it a complete success.

Matt on Sunday after getting home:

Henry and I had a fun weekend as well. We celebrated that he is officially night-time diaper free, which is actually huge news because this means Matt and I are out of the diaper buying business for good. On Saturday morning, Henry had an 8:30am soccer game. That would normally be awesome, but it was a little chilly - like 35 degrees. It didn't seem to both Henry and he played his normal 5 minutes without ever realizing a soccer game was happening. We then had breakfast with his friend Ramsey, which was fun, and then spent the afternoon at his school's Halloween Festival (Spooky Saturday). We cooked dinner together at the house, watched some tv (Curious George Halloween Special - featuring the legend of no-noggin) and went to bed early. It was a perfect day.

Henry is obsessed with no-noggin (from the Curious George show) and wanted to make a scarecrow for the house to see if it would kick off the trick-or-treaters hats. So... after David and Matt got back home Sunday morning, I took the boys to the store to get scarecrow making supplies (which consisted of some spray paint and sticks as I have no clue how to make a scarecrow).  Matt slept - see above. Apparently, he doesn't find the calm outdoors very peaceful for sleeping.

Here is what we ended up with... Henry loves it and Ollie won't stop barking at it. We decided the backyard was the best place for it... because, well, we would like for our neighbors to continue speaking to us (-:
