Matt's good friend and college roommate Karl and his family were in town from California over Thanksgiving to visit family (Lisa's sister lives here in Dallas). We were so excited to get to visit with them and see their kids - including Camille, who is just 3 months old and Anna Marie, who is now 20 months.

Happy Thanksgiving

On Thursday, we went down to Corsicana to have Thanksgiving lunch at Grandma Gil's house. It was very nice and I am always so impressed at how Grandma Gil keeps getting better and better with age. Brandin and his kiddos didn't get to stay very long as they had to go see his wife's family, so I didn't get a ton of pictures of everyone... 

 

On Friday, I had to go into the office to get some work done (it is the busy time of the year for me), so Matt and David hung out and cleaned the house (which was a nice surprise for me to find when I got home). Matt said that David was in a pretty festive (meaning ornery) mood all day, so much so that he got a few shots of his various shenanigans.

 

 David has learned to take off his shirt all by himself and so now he does so frequently. He insisted on cleaning with his shirt off and glasses on...

During his cleaning time, David went to the restroom and Matt said this is how he returned. Quite the ham..

He later found sticky tabs that I left on the table when I was working the night before:

When I got home from the office on Friday, we went and had a nice dinner and then come home to focus on Christmas decorating. As you can see, David and I got some pretty cool some matching PJs to kick off the Christmas season. Originally, Matt didn't want a set, but I think he is secretly jealous after seeing them. They are pretty comfortable.

 Here is the almost final product. David picked out most of the ornaments this year, so it is pretty colorful.

On Saturday morning, we went to breakfast at our favorite place (Garden cafe). As you can see, David's nipple obsession is still alive and well.

GrandParent's Day

David's school has a grandparent's day celebration the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The grandparents are invited into the classroom to spend a morning with the kids. D'Ann was awesome enough to drive down from OKC to take part in the festivities this year. David had a great time and from the looks of the videos...enjoys his class a lot. They got to spend the rest of the day together and then we all went out to dinner to celebrate Matt's birthday. It was such a nice visit. Thanksgiving Feast

David's school had their Thanksgiving Feast today. This is a lunch celebration where the kids dress up like Native Americans and Pilgrims and enjoy a lunch together. Here are the pictures:
