Here is a brief update on the boys:
The no-nap thing has been revolutionary. David is a whole new kid and has been routinely going to bed with no hassle. He thinks he is quite grown hanging out with the non-nappers after lunch. He also started Chess lessons last Tuesday at his school with an outside group called The Knight School. It is targeted toward children ages 4-5. Whatever they do is pretty amazing because he loves it and we have enjoyed playing Chess with him at night. I am not sure if he is the next Bobby Fisher, but he has a lot of potential and really enjoys playing. Like many of you know, he is quite the gamer so we are trying to guide that love for "games" to something at least thought provoking and/or educational.
Henry is so interactive and really getting the crawling thing down. He still does a combo of bear crawl, army drag and crawling - but it is pretty effective at getting him where he wants to be. Despite the fact that David is still a little rough with him, Henry thinks David is the funniest thing ever and just wants to get closer to him. On the food front - he is a little more reluctant to embrace the solid foods, preferring instead to nurse. He will taste a bit of solids at dinner, but then just pucker his lips and and blow bubbles. Apparently, introducing solids at 6 months is just to get them use to the texture and taste of foods and not really all that necessary nutritionally, so we are just going to wait until he is ready to eat more solids. In other big news, Henry got his very first tooth this past weekend. We are now working on the no biting rule!!
I just realized that I never posted photos from our weekend at Great Wolf Lodge (we went at the beginning of January)....so here they are:
