Memorial Day Weekend

David, Hayley and I had a wonderful, fun-filled Memorial Day weekend. Matt, on the other hand, worked the entire weekend and then had to get on a plane this morning to go to New York City for the entire week. As much as we missed Matt, it was nice to spend the time with Aunt Hayley before she heads out to Austin.

On Saturday morning, Hayley, Kristen and I went on a girl's shopping trip. We got lots of stuff for Kristen's upcoming wedding, including new swimsuits and dresses to wear while in Mexico. I am so excited about going down to Mexico for both her wedding and our vacation in July.

On Sunday, Hayley and I took David rolling skating for the first time. He did pretty good..although he didn't really ever get the hang of skating. He did think falling was pretty pretty fun and finally figured out that he could lock his knees and let Hayley and I pull him along. I think it will take a few more trips for him to get the hang of it, but definitely a fun first time.

After David's nap on Sunday, we headed out to the back yard to play with moon dough (a Christmas gift that we found is too messy to play with in-doors).  Matt came out to take pictures as we were making silly faces.

On Monday morning, Hayley and I took David to Hawaiian Falls - a waterpark in Garland. It was crowded, but we had lots of fun. David especially enjoined the snowcone.

On Monday afternoon, we went over to Lila's house to play on the slip-n-slide with the neighborhood crew. It was a great end to a perfect long holiday weekend.
