In the interest of trying to get back in the blogging habit, here is a random sampling of what is going on in the Waterman world:
We have a whole week of fundraising at Dean, including a flocking campaign where you donate to a charity in exchange for having pink flamingos placed in someone's office. My good friends here at work had all these lovely guys put in my office:
Matt and I got motivated and cleaned up the garage. Matt even cut down a tree... the kids like the tiny little patch of grass to play in. The joys of urban life... (before I complain too loudly, I have a 5-10 minute commute and never hit any Dallas traffic ever-- that is totally worth the sacrifice of having little to no yard)
Henry helping (as usual). He is a busy busy kid:
T-ball season is back, but we have had so much rain that I think we have only played two or three games so far.
Lila turned 6 in April and had her B-day party at a skating rink. David is pretty awesome at most athletic endeavors. Not so much with skating.
Look at all this space in our back yard now.. it has changed everything. We play out there every night (seriously):
Henry is a ham.. he still is saying much (although I am pretty sure he can speak, he is just choosing not to do so), but he is a super expressive kid. He has lots of faces...
Henry is always on a mission to explore... the kid just walks around and checks out everything every where...
And he eats... a lot
We turned on the heater and had the first swim of the year last weekend. Unlike last year, when Henry was unsure of the pool, he was TOTALLY IN this year. The kid stayed in for hours and then passed out. David, as usual, is a fish.
And last, but not least, the remodel plans. So... we decided to go ahead and redo our master bathroom. It was the last room in the house that needed updating. As with all construction, we underestimated how much of a pain it is going to be and how messy everything is... more to come. Right now, we are sharing a bath with the kids and have everything covered in dust. And we are WAY over budget.
