Memorial Day Backyard Project

First, the Memorial Day long weekend was AWESOME. My office closed at 2pm on Friday and I didn't get a single e-mail until late last night. So we had the entire time to enjoy the kids and just hanging out. We started off going to Dave and Buster's on Friday afternoon, then a tee ball game on Saturday morning, followed by a trip to the farmers market and then lots and lots of yard work. We also kicked off pool season and spent lots of time playing in the pool and having friends over for cookouts and swiming. Pretty much a perfect weekend.

First - pictures of the landscape project. Matt deserves all of the credit.. he did all of the hard work:

Really Great Weekend

We really had a great weekend. After all the stress associated with deciding to leave Fulbright and the anticipation of starting a new job, it was nice to just relax and enjoy the amazing weather that Dallas was blessed with this past weekend. And enjoy we did:

Friday was PJ day at school - which was huge. Can't you see the excitement:

Saturday, we got up early and had breakfast, then went to a T-ball game, then the end of the year Chess party, followed by a nap for Henry and pedicure for mommy and David (this was his second time going and he begged me to take him - who am I to say no). Saturday evening we went to the mall, had dinner at PJ Changs and then watched a movie at home after the kids went to bed. Pretty much a perfect day:

Sunday, Matt let me sleep in (which was heavenly)! Then we went to the lake for lunch and lounging before David's make-up T-ball game at 2pm. The lake was so much fun - we sat outside, went on a scavenger hunt, made friends, saw a snake in the water and just generally hung out. After the t-ball game, Matt had to leave for the airport for a deposition today. David, Henry and I went to see a play at the Dallas Children's Theatre followed by dinner with Kristen (who also joined us for the play).
