11 months = Lots of Spunk...

Henry turned 11 months old last week and man does he have a personality. We originally thought he was going to be our laid back kid, but that is quickly turning out to not be the case. When he sees something that he wants to check out, he will injure himself to get to it. He has persistence that we think puts David to shame - which is a high bar. He can crawl faster than you would think possible for such a little guy and is convinced that he can walk (although if you have seen the videos posted on here - he is not nearly as stable as he wants to be). He likes to bang his head on the floor when he gets frustrated - which is both cute and bizarre. He is babbling away and says momma and hay...but nothing else. This has been especially frustrating to Matt, because he clearly knows who dada is and I suspect he can say it - but will not do so. Instead, he likes to listen to Matt say dada and then laugh and say mamamama...

Henry loves David and wants to do whatever he does and play or check out whatever he has. David is pretty patient with him although that is starting to wear thin as Henry gets more mobile and aggressive (i.e. trying to grab the ipad during the covenanted screen time).

Henry will eat literally anything - some of his favorites right now: roasted red pepper, bowls of guacamole, artichokes, beans (any kind), chicken, blueberries, strawberries and watermelon. He has a mouth full of teeth and is always hungry (although we have no idea where it goes).

Henry loves the water and enjoys being in the pool. He will dunk his face under water and is not phased by being splashed by David (which happens a lot).

He is a pretty good sleeper, although he likes to sleep with us (just like David). In fact, we wake up every morning with the whole family in our bed. Luckily, we have a very large bed. I am still nursing, so it is the only time he will slow down and just cuddle. For the evening nursing sessions, he likes to try and stand up while nursing. As you can image, this does not work for me ...

He is still a little guy, but he makes up for it in personality. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy baby and we are just so glad that he, unexpectedly and prematurely, became part of our family. We could not imagine life with him.
