We wish you a Merry Christmas....

It is almost Christmas... yay!! The boys both got out of school last week for a very long Christmas break. They don't go back until January 4th (thanks private school). Matt and I are both working this week, but plan to take next week off. We are just staying in town, so we are all really looking forward to spending some good family time together.

Last week was a busy week for holiday celebrations - both for the boys and us! First we had Henry's Christmas Pageant -  The Pre-K II kids take the lead on the Christmas pageant, playing Mary, Joseph, the wise men, angels, etc. Henry was an angel and he was super excited. Unfortunately (and I am typically super laid back mom that doesn't get worked up about ..well.. anything) but they put Henry, literally the shortest kid in the class, behind the two tallest kids in the class. So we couldn't see him and he couldn't see us. If you look in the picture, he is peaking out in second row behind girl in plaid dress.

Luckily, we got a video of him beforehand.

David's annual St. Mark's Christmas event was the next day. Unfortunately, Matt and I both had work conflicts (#workingparentproblems), but the St. Mark's community is awesome and we got lots of pictures and videos from our friends.

This past weekend was holiday party overload for us as well. We hosted a Ugly Sweater party on Friday night (which was so much fun, we took zero pictures) and then went to a Holiday hootenanny on Saturday night (which there is, unfortunately, photographic evidence of).  For the record, we owned none of this cowboy get-up prior to Saturday.

Trip to see Charlie Brown at Dallas Children's Theater the weekend before last...

We finally started our backyard project - operation remove all rocks is well underway and off to a great success!

This past Saturday morning - Matt got up and made breakfast for the boys. He felt the need to take pictures and text people about it... wondering if that says something about the frequency of which said activity occurs?? Either way - I LOVED getting to sleep in. It was awesome (and I love you Matt and greatly appreciate you).

Henry made friends at David's tennis lessons:

Yesterday - Matt took David to an archery event for the cub scouts. Anything that involves hand-eye coordination seems to come easy to him:
