We wish you a Merry Christmas....

It is almost Christmas... yay!! The boys both got out of school last week for a very long Christmas break. They don't go back until January 4th (thanks private school). Matt and I are both working this week, but plan to take next week off. We are just staying in town, so we are all really looking forward to spending some good family time together.

Last week was a busy week for holiday celebrations - both for the boys and us! First we had Henry's Christmas Pageant -  The Pre-K II kids take the lead on the Christmas pageant, playing Mary, Joseph, the wise men, angels, etc. Henry was an angel and he was super excited. Unfortunately (and I am typically super laid back mom that doesn't get worked up about ..well.. anything) but they put Henry, literally the shortest kid in the class, behind the two tallest kids in the class. So we couldn't see him and he couldn't see us. If you look in the picture, he is peaking out in second row behind girl in plaid dress.

Luckily, we got a video of him beforehand.

David's annual St. Mark's Christmas event was the next day. Unfortunately, Matt and I both had work conflicts (#workingparentproblems), but the St. Mark's community is awesome and we got lots of pictures and videos from our friends.

This past weekend was holiday party overload for us as well. We hosted a Ugly Sweater party on Friday night (which was so much fun, we took zero pictures) and then went to a Holiday hootenanny on Saturday night (which there is, unfortunately, photographic evidence of).  For the record, we owned none of this cowboy get-up prior to Saturday.

Trip to see Charlie Brown at Dallas Children's Theater the weekend before last...

We finally started our backyard project - operation remove all rocks is well underway and off to a great success!

This past Saturday morning - Matt got up and made breakfast for the boys. He felt the need to take pictures and text people about it... wondering if that says something about the frequency of which said activity occurs?? Either way - I LOVED getting to sleep in. It was awesome (and I love you Matt and greatly appreciate you).

Henry made friends at David's tennis lessons:

Yesterday - Matt took David to an archery event for the cub scouts. Anything that involves hand-eye coordination seems to come easy to him:

Happy Birthday Matt, Grandparent's Day, Thanksgiving and More

It has been a busy month. Matt got back from his trial in mid-November just in time to celebrate his Birthday. The boys and I took him to Rise- which was fabulous.

On the Friday before that - Granny D came down for Grandparents Day at David's school. It was a fun visit, but we didn't take nearly enough pictures. Here are a few from Granny D's phone from school. David did a book report presentation on Malala Yousafzai

On Sunday, we went to the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano for a hike... very cool place with lots of trails!

We headed up to OKC on Wednesday to celebrate Thanksgiving with Matt's fam. On the way up, we stopped at Turner Falls - which was super fun! They have hiking trails and castles and a cool 77ft waterfall. David and I even got to do the zipline!

Hiking makes Henry tired...

Checking out a cool art museum/hotel in OKC

My home project!

I got super sick last week and was in bed for almost 5 days. It sucked, but David was good at taking care of me and keeping me company.

David's senior buddy at school. His name is also Henry. I was signed-up for lunch duty and got to school just in time to catch the tail-end of the Senior Buddy holiday celebration.

Mad-Libs fun (and yes- the boys have revolted and refuse to wear PJ shirts at night)
