Fall has arrived....

Do you know what today is? It is the first day of Fall - not based on the calendar or when the seasons change, but based on it being the first morning that I walked outside and just felt giddy with joy.  There was a cool breeze in the air and it just felt perfect - like Texas football weather. David even complained that it was cold... to which only added to my giddiness because David has such a unique way of viewing the world (which, for better for worse, always start with a glass half empty approach). I have been in a great mood all day and could not be more excited about spending time outside this weekend (ps- I have not looked at the weather forecast, so no one tell me if it is supposed to be100 tomorrow). We have the St. James Animal Dance Party tonight and then no other plans for the weekend - magical.

And, in addition to the weather, I just love October. School is back in session, everyone is back on a routine and sleeping (minus the damn puppy - but that is a whole other blog post that I am in too good of a mood to write now) and the whole month is full of fun events, including David's birthday and Halloween.

Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to:

The boys LOVE Ollie and, for the most part, Ollie loves them back. Henry can be a little rough (in the hugging too hard way), but Ollie is pretty good at getting away. In just a few short weeks, the number one game in our house has become chase with Ollie:

Henry's favorite part of helping with the laundry:

Now that David is in Kindergarten, he must do a spelling test each week. So far, not only has he made 100 on each test, he has memorize the list of words and written them in full before the teacher can call them out. His teacher said she admires his confidence.

Fun times in the evening:

David thought this was beautiful and wanted to take a picture....

See that Green Blob... that is David in his Halloween costume.

First report of the year - basically, for those that can't read the fine print - it says he got slapped across the face
