OKC

The weekend before last, David, Matt and I flew up to OKC to visit the Waterman/Sutter bunch. It was a much needed break both because it had been a long time since we made it up to visit (since Christmas actually thanks to moving stuff and work related conflicts) and because I closed two deals that Thursday and desperately needed a break. The trip was just amazing.

First, we flew up on Southwest - which is super easy and stress free for us. David LOVES to fly (which, can you blame him - it is still kind of a cool thing for me as an adult and I do it all the time). Plus, he was super excited to carry his backpack with him and he is the only person in America that thinks going through airport security is a blast. In fact, he went through the scanner a few times and gave multiple TSA officers high fives.  He was also quite impressed with the X-ray machines.

We had dinner Friday night with Granny D and Uncle Jake, hung out with all of the family on Saturday, went to visit Jake, Stacy, Caroline and Emily on Saturday night and had plenty of time to visit on Sunday before heading to the airport for an afternoon flight. David is at the age where he has tons of energy and wants everyone to play with him. This is where having uncles comes in handy. Uncle Jake spent a lot of time keeping up with David.

Here are pictures from our visit with the Winklers. Baby Emily has the cutest baby fat ever.. you just want to eat her up!! Caroline and David, although skeptical of each other at first, became buds quickly and played until both were exhausted.

Back to the airport.

Checking out the snacks MiMar sent David for the trip home..

We got back in time to get the grocery shopping done and have a nice dinner outside before starting a new week. As I mentioned in my prior post, Matt found out while we were in OKC that one of his cases was going to trial on May 21st. So we literally have not seen him for more than 2 hours since we got back from this trip....
