Weekend Fun

More pictures...

Last weekend, we went to Little Gym, the museum, and to the mall... David had a big day and was so tired that evening, he fell out on Matt's chest.

David just discovered that there is a whole new world under the bed (and he found lots of missing balls). He was very proud that he could squeeze under the bed.

In the mornings when I get ready for work, David sits up on the counter and brushes his teeth and then plays with all the stuff on the counter-top... including the headband that I use to wash my face, my watch and hair clips...

We are working on going to the potty. We have had two times now where he said poo-poo and he made it to the little potty. We are not pushing it at all..really just trying to get him use to the potty. He likes to sit there when we got to the big potty.

Papa Bruce and Granny D came down for the weekend and we took David to the zoo for the first time.

On Sunday morning, we went to the Arboretum to have David's pictures taken and to walk around that see the tulips. It was so beautiful outside.

So much to catch up on and so little time...

I am shamefully behind on blogging and we have done so many exciting things the past few weeks. So here is my attempt at updating everyone with photos:

David got his first motorized vehicle

That he rode all around the neighborhood and into every curb he could find..then he decided he would give a shot at pushing it.

We have made a few trips back to the Nature and Science museum... David took his turn at milking the cow.

We have had lots of walks to the park. David thinks he is in charge of walking Emma.

We baked a cake

We did some gardening

We found a worm, but David called it a snake. He was quite insistent that it was a snake.

Mommy read an article about how much fun you can having playing with macaroni and a shovel. Turns out this is an activity best tried outside.

The macaroni activity attempt no.2 - outside.

David has decided it is much more fun to go down slides backwards.

We have played with lots of bubbles.
We cleaned out the garage and David found a bucket...which he decided belonged on his head.
Other things not pictures-
  • we got a new haircut (which you can see in the later pictures above)
  • thanks to all the time Daddy spends working with David at night on his ABC books - David can now point out A and B and can pretty much say the words for everything pictured in the ABC books (with the exception of some hard works- like porcupine)
  • David's eczema is cleared up and under control. We did, however, find out that David is highly allergic to dog hair and dog dander.
  • David has really started to have a preference for picking out what he wants to wear. Currently, he wants to wear a dinosaur shirt that MiMar sent to him almost everyday.
We have lots of other new developments and changes that are coming soon...so stayed tuned.
