It is hard to believe, but little Henry just turned three! He is just adorably cute, but a complete and total mess. He is curious and mischievous and always happy. He wakes up almost every morning with a smile and generally seems to love life. Give him a fire truck and he can entertain himself for hours. He likes to take things apart and pretend to fix them with his tools. Up until recently, he didn't care too much about television or any electronic device.. but that was before he discovered paw patrol. He is now an addict just like his older brother with his favorites being Paw Patrol and Kung Fu Panda.
He will eat almost anything including sushi, artichokes, hot sauce, chips and salsa, and any and all vegetables and fruit. Currently, he is a big fan of grill cheese sandwiches and CANDY. He just discovered candy and is literally obsessed.. although he never eats more than a tiny bite when given the chance.
Henry had a great first year at St. James and is spending his summer at a local Montessori daycare (of which he is not such a fan). He will start Pre-K at Parish in August. It is a sweet school with a great community and we look forward to him getting a great education there. Of course, he does have to be potty trained to start and that is still a work in progress....
This summer has been a stressful one so far.. given that both boys will be in private school on the West side of Dallas, we decided to move. As if listing the house and packing were not enough, we had to find a new home. Luckily, we found one that we think is just perfect and look forward to moving in on August 1st. We also had to get prepared for Hannah to leave us. I have not been great at keeping up the blog, but Hannah, our au pair, has been amazing. She literally feels like a family member and I am having a hard time imaging what it will be like without her. However, she has not seen her "real" family in 2 years and so will be heading back to Brazil on August 4th. We found a new au pair - Luma - that will be joining us on August 12. She is also from Brazil (in fact, quite close to where Hannah's family lives) and seems like she will be a good fit.
