Christmas 2015

The day before Christmas Eve... it was just beautiful here. Sunny and in the upper 70's. It didn't feel much like Christmas, but we really enjoyed getting outdoors and spending some good quality time together.

On Christmas Day, we got up and celebrated at our house. David pretty much called BS on the Santa thing this year, so we just opened gifts:

Then we headed up to OKC..  But we started the trip with a stop for bunch at a Jewish Deli in North Dallas. It was so yummy:

On Saturday evening, after I spent all day telling Matt's family how Dallas never gets tornado, parts of the Dallas area got hit by a very large tornado. Luckily everyone we know is ok...

More post-Christmas time...

Christmas Parade

We went to the Christmas Parade this year.. lots of fun, as usual. Henry really liked to wave to everyone.

Thanksgiving and Head Injuries

We have so much to be thankful for these days (although nice weather over Thanksgiving was not included in that list). For Thanksgiving, we went down to Brandin's for the day and enjoyed a great time with family and lots of food. On Friday, we decorated our Christmas tree and the inside of our house. It was raining, so we couldn't do our outside lights. We also took Henry to get his staples removed.. see prior blog post for that story. He did amazing! On Saturday, we celebrated our good friend Tanya's (aka William's mom) 40th B-day ... and we celebrated a little too much (like having the uber driver take us through Taco Bell at 2am too much)! Hannah, the amazing au pair, got up with the boys on Sunday morning so we could try and recover a little. About 7:30am, I heard the fall and the scream and knew it wasn't good. I stumbled into the living room to find a panicked Hannah covered in blood and holding Henry. So.. we went back to the ER and this time got 8 staples in the head. Hard to believe... Henry was a trooper and took it all in stride. He hardly cried when they put a needle in his head. Afterward, I told him he could have anything he wanted for breakfast - he choose ice cream and Doritos.

Annual Christmas Tree decorating

Just a cute picture of how I found the boys other night long after they should have been asleep - David was reading to Henry.

Best part of December - the Christmas countdown calendar!
