Back to School

David headed back to St. James today for his last year of pre-school. It is our 4th school year at St. James and the first one with no tears. Although he was not excited and voiced his compliant that he wanted to continue with summer a little longer, he went in with a smile and hug. Truthfully, I think he is ready to get back to seeing his friends everyday.

It sounds like heading back to school was just in time with respect to Hayley as he gave her HELL on his last day of summer. We came home yesterday to a page long report of all the "bad choices" David made which included: covering himself and Hayley's bed sheets in marker, sneaking outside while Hayley put Henry down for a nap and getting water balloons which he then busted inside the house and kicking his friend William who was over for a play date.

Luke and Cole's Wedding

Matt's middle brother - Luke - got married this past weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and they genuinely seem very happy together.

We drove up Thursday night since the rehersal was pretty early on Friday. Overal, the kids did pretty great in the car. We were so thankful to be able to stay at Uncle Jake and Aunt Kim's house. It was a nice change from the hotel and really made it feel more like we were visiting family. Jake took off work on Friday and hung out with me and the boys in the morning while Matt took care of some work. We then went to the rehersal, took a Chuck-e-Cheese break while Henry napped and then went to the rehersal dinner. Everyone came back and hung out at Jake and Kim's for a pre-wedding night celebration.

The wedding was at 1:00 pm on Saturday, so we had to be at the chapel at 11am. The timing worked out great as Henry woke up from his first nap just in time to take pictures.

Quick Update

I am so far behind in the blogging department... So, here is a quick recap. We had a great vacation, but I came down with some sort of cold at the end of it and ended up being super sick the entire next week. This was really bad timing as it was the week I needed to get ready for earnings announcement, filing of our quarterly reports, plus board meetings - all of which happened last week at my new company. Being so sick, I got behind and it made the next two weeks crazier than they were already expected to be.. Then, immediately following our board meetings wrapping up on Thursday, we got in the car and headed up to OKC for Luke and Cole's wedding - in which the boys were ring bearers and Matt was the best man. Oh yea.. and, in that same three week period, Matt got a vasectomy!! We also had Henry's one year photo session, went to the circus and welcomed a baby duck into the family. So, needless to say, life has been super busy. Here are some random pics. I will do a separate post for the wedding!!
