Sore Loser

We have been playing Candy Land and Hi-Ho-Cherry a lot lately. It is fun because David is finally old enough to understand the rules and really enjoy the game. He does not, however, like to lose.  Here was his reaction after Matt won the game.

Here is David at school with his friends working on their ABC cards. Next to him is William and Vivian - by far the two friends we hear about the most. I get the sense that they are quite the buds (although we did have a week where David and William had a falling out - that is another story - it was rough. They have obviously made up and all is well in 3-year land)

 

During Spring Break last week, Isabel was nice enough to come hang out with David. David usually gets to hang with Granny D during Spring Break, but the TX and OKC school districts had different weeks off this year (which is a bummer because it is always nice for David to get in some Granny D time).

Despite moving into a new house and being in the middle of remodeling - he had a BLAST with Isabel. In fact, he wanted us to hurry and "go to work" a few mornings so he could get to the park to play. Here he is ready to go to the park:

We missed you Aunt Hayley

We had a great visit with Aunt Hayley this past weekend (although I spent a good chuck of Saturday in bed with a terrible migraine...so that part sucked). Didn't get a lot of pictures, but here are a couple (including David "talking" to his little brother):

So we are moved in (sort of) and the house is great (or will be when the sort of moved in becomes more of a reality). I will take some pictures when the house looks more like a home and less like a tornado hit it and dropped off boxes and construction dust!!

In the meantime, we had our 20 week sono this morning and got to see a 3D picture of the new baby. He was smiling and yawning and moving around. Very cool. I think he is going to be a cutie!!

Floors going in

We are officially closed

It is offical - we are closed on the new house. It was kind of a formality considering we did all of the remodel before the offical closing because of a delay by our mortgage company and the Sellers being out of the country (so we were going to have to close considering all the money we put into the house)....but nevertheless - We are CLOSED!!  Thankfully everything worked out as planned.

We move in on Wednesday....

House Updates

Because clients have a way of knowing how to pick the best timing, I have been stuck at the office launching a notes deal while Matt oversees home construction and moving. Here are some pictures that he sent me of the progress on the house. Super exciting!

They are starting on floors today, so it is under constrution... but still cool to see the progress (even though I am seeing it from my office via iphone pictures)
