Little Gym and other Adventures

Couple of pictures from David's Little Gym class on Thursday. It is really quite cute and David really enjoys it. They teach them how to roll - basically they teach them to put their hands on the ground and tuck their heads and then an adult pushes them over.  David likes to get in position and try to do it himself.

Notice that David is holding on to the other kid's shoulder

Other news- David is now standing up by himself and can take a few steps (4-5 steps) on his own before falling. He also has some new tricks- he can point out his belly and his head and he is blowing kisses whenever anyone leaves.  He is also really starting to do a lot more signs (food, please, more, book and ball)..which is kind of crazy. We have just been doing them out of habit, so it is quite amazing to see that he has been paying attention the whole time and it just clicked.

Lots of Catching Up to Do!

I have lots of catching up to do on the blog... A few weekends ago, we went down to Mexia/Wortham to visit my family. I, of course, forgot my camera and so had to improvise with an old school disposable one. I will post the pictures as soon as I get the camera developed. We also went up to OKC two weekends ago to visit Matt's family. Pictures to come from that visit as well!!

In David news, he is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING. We started a class at Little Gym during the week and Isabel often takes him to a great play place in the Galleria. Thankfully, the terrible Texas heat has passed and so we are able to play outside again. Matt did a great job at assembling David's new swing set. It pretty much takes up our entire backyard, but David is a big fan of the swing.

David has also decided he is done with baby food. He just started refusing to eat it entirely. So, we have moved to an all finger food diet...which can be a little messy. He is, however, getting better at using a spoon to feed himself.

Yesterday, David and I went to see Isabel and her husband, Lou, be baptiszed yesterday. Unfourantely, David was very tired and didn't do great throught the ceremony...as you can see from the below picture!!
