Weekend Update

David was getting a little too big (or at least his thighs were) for the bumbo, so we went and picked up out a new high chair this weekend. He seems to like it so far and, as you can see, he has lots of room to grow.

Now that all the post-flood reconstruction has been completed, we spent the weekend re-decorating peanut's room.

We got in lots of good play time in our new room:

After all the decorating and playing, we went grocery shopping late Saturday night (yes, this is our evening out on the town now). Peanut was all wiped out when we got home. He went down for the night at 8:30. We were so excited about this early bedtime that Matt and I stayed up and watched a movie (the whole thing..uninterrupted..a first since peanut joined us)! That, of course, turned out not to be the best decision as peanut decided he was wide awake and ready to play at 4:30am this morning.

Happy Anniversary

Yesterday was our two year anniversary...seems like a lot has happened in two short years. Isabel surprised us with an amazing dinner and David (with a little help from Isabel) made us this amazing card:

Food and Jumping

David just started eating some veggies, but seems more interested in the spoon than the food. He is also now big enough to start using his bouncer. It sort of freaked him out at first...he would start crying every time it actually bounced, but it didn't take long for him to get it down. Now he is a bouncing fool.

4 Month Check-Up

David got an all thumbs up at his four month check-up. He weighs 18.5lbs (95th percentile) and is 27 inches in length (above the 95th percentile). He got the typical plethora of vaccinations, but is handling them well.

What Are These Things?

While at David's 3-month photo shoot, I put these super cute brown corduroy shoes that Keri bought for David on him. It was the first time he has ever had shoes on (because, really, he can't really walk anywhere just yet) and he was so into the shoes that he would not look up at the camera. He just kept staring at his feet:

3 month Photos

A few weeks ago, I took David to have his 3-month photos done by Sarah of Sara Bella Photography. She is so great with David and, even though he wasn't in the best mood that day, she got some really great pictures. Here are just a few of my favorites:

Let it Snow...

David got to see his first real snow. It was quite impressive... the most snow fall that Dallas has ever seen in a single day. Here are some pictures from early Thursday morning when David and Isabel went out to build a snowman. We ended up getting over 12.5 inches of snow by Friday morning. It was beautiful. We did not, however, get to go out Friday morning and enjoy it because thanks to all the snow...we lost power sometime in the middle of the night Thursday. So, we spent Friday morning all bundled up trying to stay warm in front of our fireplace which as it turns out is clearly more for decoration than heat production. Our power just came back on and the house is now warming up.

Dallas World Aquarium

We met up with Hayley and Allison (who was in town from San Antonio) for brunch and a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium today. Pretty sure Peanut is not aware of the whole aquarium experience just yet, but he liked being carried and/or pushed around in the stroller. Plus, he did notice the animals when they moved and that would keep his attention for a few minutes.

Educating the Peanut

Clearly David is a genius. Look, he is already reading....

Working with Daddy

Peanut intently watching Matt work...

Some exciting stuff..

Ok, maybe not so exciting...

Nope, not me. I wasn't sleeping..

All About The Feet

It has been a week since my last post and we have some major developments..two, in fact. David has discovered his feet and he is a big fan (see evidence below).
