Who's your daddy?
I think Peanut is looking more and more like his daddy. Here are some of Matt's baby pictures to prove my point. See any resemblance?

Skype
We just discovered Skype, a program that allows you to make video calls over the web. Granny D (Matt's mother) got a new laptop that has a built-in video camera and so David can now video chat with his Granny D and his Papa Bruce. He doesn't have the chatting thing down just yet (he tries), but he likes seeing and hearing his grandparents on the computer screen. Here are some pictures from our video chat session. If anyone else is on Skype, give us a call sometime...
Pictures that Granny D took and sent to us:

A Day in the Life of the Peanut
Isabel takes lots of pictures so that we can see all the fun and new things David does each day. The weather has been nice, so they have been going for walks in the stroller (which David absolutely loves and then wants us to push him around in the house at night). He has gotten so big that we have to buckle him in the stroller so that he doesn't wiggle his way out! We are just amazed at how interactive he is getting...everyday seems to bring a a new laugh, smile or noise. Here are some of the pictures from today:

While Dad's Away
Matt took his youngest brother Jake to Vegas this weekend to celebrate his birthday. They originally planned to go out for his 21st birthday, but thanks in part to peanut, the trip is a year late. Matt's met his college roommate Karl (previously featured on this blog when he came to visit David last month) and Karl's younger brother (who also recently turned 21) out there. Sounds like they are having a good time.

David and I spent the evening hanging out with Aunt Hayley and taking lots and lots of pictures.

This Weekend in David
The big new development this week is grabbing...lots of it and at everything. He swings, hits, grabs, and pulls on all the toys on his vibrating chair and squeals with delight. It is quite the entertainment for David and us.

Dad playing with David this weekend:

David's has this precious smile where he just melts when we talk to him. It is so sweet and just brightens our day!

Fun Times with Isabel
David seems to be adjusting well to having Isabel at home with him during the day. She is great with him and he really seems to like her (she holds him a lot, so he is a pretty easy sell). Here are a few pictures from today:

Adventures in Going Back to Work
David went to his first and last day of daycare on Monday. I shall explain... David and I arrived at the daycare center around 9am. I sat with him on the floor of the daycare until around 10:30 talking to the teachers and meeting the other children. Finally, I forced myself to go over to my office where it took about 45 minutes for me to realize I just couldn't leave him there. So I rushed over and sprung him from the daycare. I should clarify that there is nothing wrong with the daycare. In fact, it is probably one of the best daycare centers in the city and I am sure that David would have ended up being just fine. It just wasn't the right fit for us.

As many of you know, we had interviewed a nanny a few months ago that we both absolutely loved. At the time, however, the timing was off (we didn't need her until January and weren't ready to commit). I gave her a call and, miraculously, she was still available. We are so happy to have Isabel as David's nanny. I can go back to work knowing he is in good hands. Here is a picture from their first day:
